Benijófar is a small Spanish town on the river Segura with about 4,000 residents, a real plaza and a weekly market. It has no seafront and no resort infrastructure — which is exactly why prices here start lower than almost anywhere else within 15 minutes of the beach.
Property in Benijofar
Benijófar suits buyers who want to live among Spaniards rather than in an expat enclave, without giving up the coast entirely. The town keeps its own health centre, schools, bars and shops open year-round, and the neighbouring municipalities of Rojales and Ciudad Quesada supply anything else within a few minutes.
Our listings are a genuine mix: apartments from €145,000, villas with private pools, and penthouses up to €708,000. Most have two or three bedrooms. The main residential areas are the town centre (Pueblo), Atalaya Park and the streets around the sports centre.
The beaches of Guardamar del Segura are 8–9 km away, roughly 15 minutes by car, and Alicante–Elche airport about 40 minutes. If your budget is under €200,000 and you still want a pool, a terrace and a Spanish town around you, Benijófar is one of the few places on this coast that still delivers all three.
