Finestrat is where the Costa Blanca climbs into the hills. The old village sits at the foot of Puig Campana, the 1,406-metre peak that dominates every view, while the modern urbanisations of Balcón de Finestrat and Sierra Cortina look down over Benidorm bay from terraces built into the slope. You get sea views and quiet at the same time — with Benidorm’s services a ten-minute drive away.
Property in Finestrat
Finestrat suits buyers who want the coast without the crowds. The municipality stretches from the mountain village down to Cala de Finestrat, a small sheltered beach on the edge of Benidorm, so a property here is typically 1 to 6 km from the sea while sitting high enough for an open view. Most homes on our list are in Balcón de Finestrat, Sierra Cortina and around Golf Puig Campana.
The stock is weighted towards villas — detached houses with private pools, several bedrooms and terraces oriented to the bay. Alongside them are apartments and penthouses in gated resort-style developments with communal pools, gardens and parking. Prices run from around €131,000 for an apartment to €2.2 million for a large villa, with most purchases falling between €300,000 and €700,000.
Practically, Finestrat works year-round rather than only in summer. Alicante–Elche airport is about 50 minutes by car, the AP-7 motorway is close, and Benidorm supplies hospitals, international schools and shopping. Buyers come for the combination that is genuinely hard to find further south: mountain backdrop, sea view, and a real town nearby.
