Rojales is the municipality that contains Ciudad Quesada and Doña Pepa, but the old town on the river Segura is a different place entirely: stone bridges, a Sunday market and the Cuevas del Rodeo — cave dwellings carved into the rock, now home to artisan workshops.
Property in Rojales
Buying in Rojales means choosing between two characters within one municipality. The historic centre keeps a working Spanish life around the river and the market square. A few kilometres out, the residential zones of Doña Pepa, La Marquesa and Lo Marabú are laid out around the golf course, with wide streets and international neighbours.
Our listings are dominated by villas and bungalows, from €265,900 to €1.59 million, typically two to four bedrooms with a private or communal pool. Prices sit below the coast for the same build quality, which is the trade-off for being 4.5–8 km inland.
The beaches of Guardamar and La Mata are 15 minutes by car, the salt lakes of Torrevieja a little further. Alicante–Elche airport is about 40 minutes. For buyers who want a garden and a pool rather than a sea view from the balcony, Rojales delivers considerably more house for the money.
